Northland oil is a refinary and they make several oils including Chevron and many others, its all the same oil with just different specs. Everybody knows that Deere would never own its own refinary. Alot of the parts that they sell are not even made by them anymore.

If I remember right I think all there lubricants are made by northland oils.

There engine oil is about the best you can buy, sure it's pricey but all good oils are.

Do you think it is better than rotella T? I would try it in my powerstroke but the cost shied me away.

John Deere supposedly makes ALL of their OWN oil. But no, there"s a manufacturer hidden behind the label... not sure who makes any of it, really.

Common sense would tell you that owning a refinery just to make tractor oil is beyond reason! I know a fella who once worked in Shell refinery in Oklahoma....I forget how many different brands of oil they bottled there...but more than a few!

I ran JD oil in my new tractor until the warranty was out..... after that it got Rotella and will continue to.

That's what i'm saying, I was being sarcastic. If John Deere owned a refinery, geez.
