Victor gasket set verse Deere for JD 70

Auto parts store can get a Victor head gasket set for my John Deere 70 for $69.00. I would assume it included a pan gasket, manifold gaskets and maybe the lead washers. At least it is what they call a head set. John Deere wants $70.00 for just the head gasket alone. By the time you add all of the other gaskets you can be at $120.00 easy. A good mechanic told me to go with the auto parts place. Are the John Deere brand head gaskets Victor anyway??? What about Felpro??? Any ideas here. Thanks.

Victor makes the majority of the head gaskets for Deere. Felpro is also Victor's largest customer. In the same token Victor is Felpro's largest customer. For the slower moving stuff there are not enough sales in may cases for each one to pay for the tooling to buy the gasket so they buy from each other. Confused?
