Where are any new lp gas pistons sold at ?If I use lp piston in Indiana will the engine run hot or have other trouble ? Do you have to use high test gasoline ? Not try to build a puller as such but just use it to bush hog perhaps pick up a few horsepower ,this is a gas tractor .

Oh by the way, the hi-altitude still had compression recess but not as large as stock. The lp used in the 520 was flat top and chamber area was only in head. Tooooo much compression, cranked out around 160 and the carburation was not right. When you majorly change on thing you'll have to modify something else and you're just experimenting expensively at that point.

Personally I believe you may be experimenting. LP pistons will give hi compression but less burn time. I tried them in a 520 and had a sorry excuse of performance. However I rebuilt a 620 for a friend and used the hi-altitude and what a powerhouse. Added electronic ignition and that tractor came to life. Excessive amount of bark and torque. The owner said he started driving the tractor when new in 56 and it never had that much power.

620,
Check with Hinrichs Repair, 815-778-1900 or 815-499-6580 - he has been selling oversize aluminum pistons for many years.
