I recently acquired a '82 2640 with loader. After baling hay with it this season, I noticed that the left front spindle had some play in it. Now the left wheel is kind of jerky in turns and keeps losing the toe in. I tried adjusting the tie rod but the toe in won't stay. What are the steps involved to remove the spindle? and what should I expect to find? (I haven't picked up a tech manual yet!)

Thanks in advance for the help!

Ken

Support front axle, remove wheel and arm that tie rod attaches to and spindle will drop out. Also check bellcrank in center of frt axle for looseness as this is a wear spot on Dubuque tractors. Tx Jim
