This is a continuation from the discussion yesterday:

Kurt, Mike, The flexible brake linings I described are from John Deere. They come straight and take the form of the shoe as you rivit them on. The number on the box is RE227855. The numbers on the linings are R087 25/05 and R97931. The latter is likely the part number. The name on the lining is Raybestos. Clever! The attached photo will tell the rest.

I do not have a B parts book so I can't look up the number or see if there are other lining options. Please don't judge or tell Mr. Thinker. I have parts books for my tractors. I don't have a B. I am helping someone on this.

Mike, the brake came apart last night. Like you said, more height, downforce, and a harder wood black, and good to go. Of coarse, everything inside is stuck.

Thanks,

Mark

They must of changed the linings yet once again. They are always changing stuff sometimes better some worse ? Glad to hear the harder drop got it. I usually end up having to use the torch to heat up the adjuster and pins to get them out.

Mark,

Your picture did not come through.

JD part number is either B223R (before serial number 201,000) or B2723R (serial number 201,000 and up)

Kurt
