My old Missouri buddy M L Aylward who posts here sells a puller or you can fabricate one and on tractors where you can get to it we use a blunt ended punch on a vibrating air impact hammer n they push/vibrate right out. The pin is knurled on the end and presses in there. You can try some heat to expand n cool n contract buttttt be careful n dont break the end off. You generally need BOTH the pin and a bushing in the end of the handle for a good tight fit.

It has to be pressed out,or pushed out with a gear puller,if you try to drive it out there is a good possibility the casting will break. You'll also probably find out the pivot in the lever is worn out also.
