Neighbor ran a 620 out of oil and locked up the engine. Want's $400 for it. Would it be worth putting a crankshaft in it and rebuilding the engine????

If you're not interested in it at that price and DP is to far away, let me know. I'm coming down to Houston next month to the livestock show. You ought go for it, if he thinks his 620 is a diesel,
then I wonder if he knows whats wrong with it for sure.

We're still dickering on it. My son went over and when he came back he claims he could move the engine by hand.
I hate to check it out over there before I buy it. I bought a tractor once with the clutch out, and when I got it home the pedal was just stuck down by a bolt binding it up. A pivot pin had fallen out of the linkage clevis and they had put a bolt in it and tightened it down to tight. It still operating fine after 6 yrs with the bolt loosened.
If it don't work out for me I'll repost on here for you guys.

Hi Burrhead, I am guessing you are talking about a power fuel tractor, as there were on 620 diesels built. I can't imagine a 620 bad enough to not be worth $400.00's. I don't know where you are, but if you don't buy it let me have a chance at it!! Good luck, Don

I looked at it and he says it's a diesel, but it has spark plugs. Is it like the old farmalls on the fuel? We used to crank them on gas and then switch to tractor fuel when it was running.
Ok I'll see how many million it will cost me to rebuild it. If I decide I don't want it I'll repost on here for you. It's at Houston, Texas.
All the emblems, decals and original paint are good, it just has bad tires, but looks really good.

I forgot to say this tractor is exceptionally clean but tires are bad.
