Has anyone ever heard of Deere producing 27 john deere B's in 1952 with no serial number???
If this is true, does anyone know where I can find proof?
Thanks, Justin

Lets say that did happen. IF sold in the public without serial tags, John Deere could stake no warranty or claim to the tractor with relationship to the owner, as WELL as being in SEVERE trouble with the U.S. patent office.

Besides... do you think anyone would buy anything with no serial number tag...LEGALLY?? -NO! Not even model T fords or maytag engines went without tags way before that!

Ask yourself this question: Why would John Deere do such a thing? Answer: They wouldn't, period. Somebody is feeding you a tall tale. Even experimental tractors were serial numbered, as a general rule, or at least started out with a serial number.

Never heard of that, but you might try asking the Two-Cylinder Club Magazine.
