Tell me how would a 4020 compare to a 1030 case on the tractor pull track both tractors being original. Any comments please reply. I am just getting into farm tractor pulling.

I have pulled a 1070 case a lot at the local pull. The 4020 stands no chance against it, but I do realize that the 1070 is somewhat stronger than the 1030, in that it has direct injection and a power shift. I think that the 1030 would be pretty close to the deere, but it should have the edge--it has a considerably larger engine.

We have a guy in the area that pulls a 4010.
He had to add on to his house to have somewhere to put all his trophys.

My dad had a pretty good stock version of both tractors. Tight engines, good rubber, weights. When it came time to pulla big 6 bottom plow through a black gumbo bottom, he always took the Case. Now I run them, and the tires aren't as good now, but I would still do the same. The Case,a 1032 with an 8 speed manual and 451 diesel engine, has both a weight, horsepower, and gear ratio advantage, and it does have duals. But I sure would hate to haul the Case, the 4020 is really more than I want to haul on any routine basis.

Better tell that to all the 4020 drivers I beat last year at the Laura tractor pull, they didn't stand a chance against my 1030 and it is totally stock. dynoed under stock horsepower.
