I'd like to come up with some more game events for our show. Currently we have: slow race, barrel race, and balancing on a tilt platform. I have heard of a game using a log chain.

Hook long log chain to drawbar with tractor behind start line. Have large truck tire laying somewhere. When guy with stopwatch says go, drag the chain til the end hook falls into tire; back up til more chain falls into tire; pull up etc til entire chain has dropped into tire & stopwatch tells your time. quickest time wins. Another chain game: 3 barrels in a row about 50 ft spacing; stopwatch as you go around barrels as a figure 8 to finish-start line; chain can't have touched a barrel.

One event that I think might be interesting is to:

1. Put a coffee can over the muffler

2. Crank the tractor

3. Let audience applaud/cheer which tractor "launches" the can the highest in the air.

You know that at some time all of us have "senior" moments while bragging and forget to remove the coffee can before cranking the tractor.

Spectators really get a "hoot" when the can flys high in the air.

Just a thought...

When the neighbor painted his model B he made a rain cap out of some heavey round steal pipe so if you forgot to take it off it would just dance around but not blow off like tin can and come down and scrath new paint. So first time he forgot to take it off he reached up to take dancing pipe off but it was already so hot that he dropped it on his new paint and put a real big ding in it. Sometimes it just don't pay to get up in the morning.

Check out my web site. Visit tractor rodeo for rules and photo album for rodeo pictures. We have the chain game. Make a box out of steel and pile the chain in side the box by using a tractor. Box is made out of 2 x 2 angle and is laid like this "A". The size is like 3' x 4' and the chain about 20'. Once you have the chain in there you pull a rope that is fastened to a clevis pin and once the clevis and chain fall in side the box you are done.

Tractor baseball.

The passenger bats and you run the bases with the tractor. A softball is used.

Seriously - I have seen it at one of the local shows.
