Anyone know where an individual can find an umbrella for a 44 jd b tractor that has the logo that matches the year.
If not, does anyone have any artwork that a man could take to a screen printer and have it done. need the 1937 JD Logo.

Thanks

jg

jg,
The proper logo for a 1944 Deere would be the John Deere Quality Farm Equipment oval shield, not the point shield used earlier. Contrary to popular info, Deere adopted this shield in mid-'41 and illustrated it in the Furrow. It was REGISTERED in 1950, and used until 1956. Wayne Broehl in his book on JD History really confused this whole issue when he printed registration dates of trademarks and did not point out those dates were not necessarily dates of first use. FWIW.

You can get these from a dealer, I bought mine from the dealer here in Muleshoe. Ran around $150.00 with the universal bracket. It has the correst for 1940 tractors.

Aggie. Try these people. I bought one several years ago and it was of pretty good quality and looked pretty much like an original except it had a metal pole. I replaced it with a wood one.
