Wondering if a 1928 GP has a different cylinder head than the 29's and 30's, Thanks

John,

Mike is correct. The early "28 models had what is commonly called a "slant plug head". On a slant plug head, the spark plugs were angled slightly toward the top of the head. The head design was later changed so that the spark plugs are installed perpendicular to the end of the head. A slant plug head is very rare and highly desirable by GP collectors.

I'm sure they interchange , but wasn't the VERY EARLY ones with the spark plug holes at an angle ?

Same head until the large bore came out in 31. ser# 200111-223802 used the same head.
