I replaced the cap on my Wico C and noticed that one of the contacts(between the rotor and cap) was clean as new and the other was black and pitted. Seems like I read somewhere that there was an issue with Wico C's because the shafts warped over time. Could this be the problem?

Joe, REGARDLESS of the cause, its just not right if the rotor tip is making any contact (or too close) with the caps pickups or if one pickup is much farther distance from the rotor tip than the other. The older Wico C has a bushing where the Wico X has a bearing, one problem can be the bushing is worn allowing excess shaft n rotor wobble which causes a varying points gap and/or misfiring. I cant comment on shaft warping/bending, Glen or Duane can, Im more familair with how a worn bushing can cause misfiring, varying rotor tip to cap distances, and varying point gaps which can cause different wear n tear n carbon or pitting etc on different cap pickups.

Its the same set of points n condensor that fires BOTH cylinders, so if one side is passing more or less current from the other (might explain one clean and one carboned up cap pickup), Id suspect a cap or rotor problem or the bushing is worn or perhaps the cam lobes arent the same height. You may wanna check the points gap on BOTH high cams n see if theres much difference.
