oil coupling

My parts book & the dealer disk do NOT show the coupling that drives the oil pump [cam gear to shaft]on a 47 "A"...but they both show it in the "B" book..part # B 250 R does anyone know if this is the same part before I order ??? [15% restock fee]...thanks Kent

They would be the same. Check the back of the book to backtrack that number and see if it is on some wierd page ? instead of omitted.

I heard the new ones from Deere look different and are much heavier.Not sure this is so good as it can't snap if the pump is froze from water in the oil. This may then twist a shaft or worse ?

I thought about that ice problem but this tractor is kept inside & after working on "A" & "B" since 1961 I always drain oil in everything to see if water is in them ...have never found a [2] cyl. that didn't have a little water in them if they set for anytime even my 720 & 730 will collect water if set up & they are shedded..anyway not to much of a problem down here since it only got below freezing [3] nights this past winter ...thanks ...Kent

Actually it is shown on the page with "Oil filter head, pipes, and fittings" and yes, B250R is the correct part for all years.

found out today that coupling fits from unstyled tractors to the 730 series all have the same oil pump shaft & gears ..thanks ...Kent
