Does anybody know what brand of tractor these used to be. They are built in Italy. They have a JD engine but the rest of the machine doesn't look JD and it would cost a fortune to tool up just to make a few of them (in a global sense).

I think Goldoni is probably correct. They made conventional orchard tractors for Deere and other brands too as well as the articulated versions. Now that I think a bout it a bit more, didn't Carraro make some of the narrow tractors for Deere and others too? Either way, Deere marketed them mostly in Europe, not the US.

Here in south east Mexico there are quite a few JD 5615 and 5715 that are assembled in Mexico. Engines are JD 4 cyl. JD does sell a small Italian Goldini made articulated tractor the size of a Kubota in Mexico. Maybe Goldini makes the 5515 also.
