Just curious to know if anyone out there has a john deere 60 high seat standard all-fuel, one of my relatives just one purchased last fall, it is an export model. Of just 209 built, only 15 stayed in the US, just curious to see how many are still out there. This must be a desirable tractor right????? ? Just curious to see the response I get.
Thanks guys

i have a 520 all-fuel that was exported and assembled in mexico with a 50 governor and a wico xb mag, no pto, manual steering, single front, 3pt, and a model 70 all-fuel carb.

Of the 279 all fuels made, 75 were manual steer, and of those, only 6 were crafted in this particular way with the mag.

Yea, I still think your tractor is very rare.

I'd like to know just where you got all this information, because it's pretty certain that no "520" tractors were assembled in Mexico, and there are no known records that say how many were equipped with magneto ignition.

I talked with J.R. Hobbs, who IS a rep of two-cylinder club. My tractor wasn't built in Monterrey, I said it was exported to monterrey as a kit and put together off of the train. It's all original, it has mexican lettering on the tires and the tractor has a modified 50 governor on it. tri-lingual guages, and a 70 carb (most likely not orginally on it)

I suggest that you do NOT argue with the facts.

Also, according to July-August 2000 Two-cylinder, there were 128 520 allfuels without power steering, because I thought I remembered that when we bought ours, I researched this and found more none power steering than power steering were built. In fact I know where one of those tractors (minus the 70 allfuel carb) sits right now running for less than $5000.

Ok, then where did you get the information that only six were built with magneto ignition?

I was agreeing with you, 95CS. The information I provided was Waterloo built tractors. I have talked to Two-cylinder club about this and as far as anybody knows ONLY 620s and 720s were built in Monterrey. Further more, they dont even know the fuel types built, How would they know the ingition system?

I was under the impression that all 830s built in Monterrey were electric start, because the three I have and the two other I have seen were; however I talked to a collector about a month ago and he had a pony start. I guess we can not say never but to say only 6 520s were built with magneto ingition is really pushing some facts unless dds-inc can provide us this information.

Sorry there, Deere Valley, my bad, mis-read the poster. Yeah, I'd really like to know how dds KNOWS that only six 520 all-fuels were built with optional magneto ignition. That information just is not available in any reference material that I'm aware of. I'd bet he never answers the question.

I did not know that they built 520s down there, I thought they only assembled 620 and 720 of the 20 series down there?
