I have been thinking about what was Deere's last gas engine. MY Dad had a 6600 combine, probably a 70 model, with a gas burner. I also saw a 7700 gas sold on a farm sale a few years ago. We also had a 4400 combine with a Chrysler in it. It probably was a 73. What do you guys think?

23 model 4030 tractors were built with the gasoline engine. These are the last big tractors built with gas engines.

The 800 swather in 73/74 or so was equiped with a slant 6 gasser. The 30 series Dubuques had a few gasser utility tractors.

Geez, Buick, don't forget about the 2320 Windrowers (and possibly other models) made WAY after the 800's that were available with a gas engine option!

800 & 830 swathers had the 225 slant 6 Chrysler gas. A blue book shows 1972-80 for 800 & 830 ? We had a 880 swather that had the same 180 John Deere gas engine like 2510 tractor but don't remember what year that swather was. Thought we had this same disussion a while back? Probably a 4230 or combine or cotton stripper/picker or SP sprayer with last Deere gas engine?

That may be hard to track down since you"ll have to consider ag, industrial, marine and other uses (generators, compressors, etc.).

Our '74 4400 gas combine had a GM (Chevy) 292 in it. Not a Deere gas engine.
