I finally got to plow with my '51 A and the 44 2 bottom plow I restored. A buddy of mine let me plow some of their ground that had corn in it last year. I was chomping at the bit. She did really well in 2nd gear even though the ground was still damp. 3rd gear was ok too, though she started working hard going uphill. I may move the plow to the right just a bit as I had to keep the right front just on the edge of the furrow.

When I got her I was planning on pulling it once or twice to see what she'd do and then just show her. After the first pull I was "hooked" if you'll excuse the pun. I pulled her 3 times last year and have 5 or 6 pulls lined up for this year. A buddy of mine has some land he wants plowed this fall, and I may know of a plow day or two around where I live.

Thanks

I think I saw the picture of your JD A. It looks very nice. Its nice people are still working with their tractors rather than just using them as show pieces. Andy.
