Please excuse my ignorance on this but I am curious as to the differences on the 435 nose piece. My tractor has the plain nose with no holes in the front. I have also seen pictures of other 435's with a round hole in the front of the nose with a bolt or nut visible. I also see this on some other early John Deere Tractors. What is this hole? Thanks

If you are talking about the center piece between the grill screens, the hole is for access for attaching cultivators or other attachments.
