i got new main bushings from JD. they are brass under size has anyone had experience with this i am wondering about clearance same or more than aluminum Thanks Kent

I did the same as Dsk- had my crank ground and the mains done at the same place and time. sent them the crank, main bearing housings and the new inserts after grinding the crank they pushed the inserts in and cut them for the crank-

I don't know what to set them at ,but remember reading about them here and people having trouble with them. So I wouldn't rush into setting them up until I did alot of research. I thought I may of seen an ad in green magazine about those too ? maybe repro alum. ones ?

I am running the bronze inserts in my 70 gas puller. I had them set up at.0055. Standard clearance is .0045-.0065. Tractors been running two years...no problems.
