Years ago I worked for a now-defunct dealer..The area rep was in town to do warranty claims and tractor inventory for the floorplan..He told me , at the end of the 1010-2010 run, orders were cancelled and 350-450 crawlers were substituted because of the numerous problems that were encountered with them..The remaining machines were partsed out and sold as assemblies..Deere sold a gang of them..I'm still being haunted by them...Anybody priced out a liner plate for these lately?? Just curious...

Maybe one of the WORST diesel engines ever made of any brand. I have never seen a 1010 Diesel that was in a running condition. I asked John Deere about them once they openly admitted that the 1010 diesel engine was a POS. Other than that I had a 1010 gasser high crop it was one of the best brush hog tractors I ever had. Other than the front end was way to light not being weighted even for a brush hog mower,
