Good thing you asked what it's worth. I know of way too many stories like this where some vulture came along and stole the family tractor for a couple hundred bucks. These kind of guys aren't as common as they used to be but there are still a few around. A lot of them were tractor jockeys and turned around and resold the tractor for a 500% profit. Sounds like you have a very desirable Model D. If you do sell it,the buyer should be willing to pay what it's worth, if not someone else will.

If it is as nice and original as you say maybe $5000. But unless Mom really needs the money I would keep it in the family.

First off are you sure you want to let it go ?

Second check the serial number to make sure it is not a spoker model. If it is a factory keyed solid fylwheel model then you may get around $3500 to $4500 or even more if you MUST sell it.

Today's Featured Article - Fordson Model N: Field Service Operations and Lubrication - by Anthony West. The daily or weekly servicing of any vehicle is of the utmost importance, and in days gone by when our favorite tractors were doing an important and Commercially vital job on the farm, these service operations would make a major difference to the running costs and economy of the farm. This being so, it surprises me to see how many enthusiasts attending rallies, shows etc, seem to be unaware of the importance of this constant attention. Possibly the modern machine with its 6,000 mile or even once ... [Read Article]
