I have a 1949 A that was sitting for years. It had J@S parts on it but i changed it to a dual fuel. Have the LP parts that came off the A. It also had a water pump installed in bottom water pipe.

Nope, J&S LP products of Dallas was bought out by Impco LP products sometime and it barely mentions that on the history section of the Impco site. Most LP dealers don't have anything left for J&S and can't get anything from Impco either and will just want to sell you a new Impco regulator. Impco makes a good product and we have ran them on industrial and irrigation engines for years and parts are still readily available compared to other brands. Apparently from a recent bulletin found thanks to Duane Larson it tells that JD did not have any ties or affiliations with J&S either but we all know JD made their own factory LP models later also. The Century LP equipment JD used on later factory LP models was then owned by BW, Borg Warner and Marvel Schebler was also a division of BW back then. There are several LP dealers that still sell other versions or replacement new or NOS models of the Century LP products.

Thank you for the history and info. I am in the midwest east of Miss. River and bought 2 late A's and a late G all on LP from the Dallas area. One has a new Impco and is running fine. The other two are running on gas carbs and small engine gas tanks so I can at least move the tractors. When I get to them I will remove the J&S items and replace with Impco products that I have located from my local LP supplier's parts catalogs.

Sometimes you can get lucky asking around LP dealers or watching ebay and ads for J&S parts but all local LP dealers around here just start shaking their heads when you mention J&S now days.

Looks all too familiar. My G isn't a propane conversion, nor was the seat engulfed in a tree. Other than those two minor items, it looks a lot like mine did the first time I saw it. Those G's are hard enough to come by, latch on to it and start spending $$$. Dale
