I have a JD model 820, When I use the lift it sounds as if it is having problems lifting or is straining to lift my stredder, or maybe starving for hydrolic fluid. I have changed the hyrolic fluid, the hydrolic filter, cleaned the hydrolic screen and filled it with fluid. i am still having the same problem. Any ideas on what to do next.

Joseph

Could be several things from bad o-rings in valves to just worn or improperly adjusted linkage. Leaking or sticking relief valve or bad relief valve spring or not adjusted right. Pump inside behind case is PTO driven and could be worn or leaking around the pump housing some also. The I&T manuals will cover those but you'll find more info on theory of operations, service, overhaul & trouble shooting in the JD SM2011 Hydraulics service manual and for later 20 & 30 series with touch o matic being covered more in SM2022. Powrl Trol valve housing is basically the same on all of them except the H. Contact Deere Publications for manuals at 800-522-7448 or Ed at 812-537-4622.

This sounds like a three cylinder 820. What is the system pressure during standby and during the lift? What is the flow in gpm from the trans pump to the front high pressure pump? Is this 820 equipped with the open or closed center hydraulic system? Is the valve controlling the shredder lifter open or closed center? Is there a steady flow of oil back into the trans case from the power steering, remote hydraulics or the three point hitch when no hydraulic functions are being used? Hydraulic isnt spelled with an o.

Yeah I read screen and filter now and that should have told me. Sounds like needs to do a pressure check or visit with JD service manager or still get manuals. Maybe check load depth control too? Don't those have a relief valve someplace too? 820 Diesel Utility made in Germany: OML29383 operators manual, TM4279 technical manual, & PC4132 parts catalog.
