Have a 42 A with one cylinder pitted due to standing water for years (sat outside unused). Just want to get it going again, nothing heavy duty planned for it. What is the best repair method and other options? Thanks. Bob

Bob, how bad is the pitting? Also look at the pistons, how bad are they? If pistons are ok you might want to sleeve just that cyl. If the pistons are bad you might want to bore it & install over size pistons. Personaly I prefer to sleeve & use the orig. cast pistons if possible, The engine runs smoother with the heavy pistons.
