my thought is if you were making just one of a thing and sold it jd might not say anything, but if you went at it like a commercial business you would be in a lot of trouble. some of the things i see sold are things made from jd material, bedspreads and the like. i'm not sure that all of that material is a licensed jd product or not. if it isn't i don't know if you would be in trouble or not, but i wouldn't think so.

Absolutely not...making something for yourself is one thing, but selling a copyright or patented idea or image is illegal....Lionel Trains was recently sued by the Union Pacific Railroad for this very reason..

I digitized and my wife stitched out on an emboidery machine some John Deere tractor pictures that she made into a quilt. We are afraid of going to jail so only display it when no strangers are around. The only one worse than Deere is Disney. They have comandos out looking for stuff.

Mother Deere will hunt you down and take you out if you use her registered logo without authorization. The name and the logo is a licensed thing.

Yeah, but if they try to sell that stuff to the general public, their as*ses are in jail.
