I need a hydraulic selective control valve housing for a 4040. The casting # on the side is R65284. The late 30 series should be the same as most 40 series. This is the housing you plug the hydraulic hoses into for a lift cylinder.

You can actually use any SCV from the late 20-series up through the 40-series. Might help in your search. The earlier ones had some different guts in them - a different detent setup, etc., but will bolt on and work the same.

G/MAN, The rockshaft housing has a crack between the large o-ring fitting and the little pipe plug and now I have a crack internally in one of the SCV housings. I have a loader on the tractor. Is this the cause? I've heard it was from hydraulic fluid shock. What's your experience on this? Can the rockshaft housing be welded and fixed or bite the bullet and get another one? What's the small pipe plug for?

You could take a run at welding it. Most of the iron in those rockshaft housings is pretty thick. Without being able to see exactly what plugs you're talking about, I couldn't really tell you what the small plug is for. But in a lot of cases, a small pipe plug is used to close off the end of a drilling for an oil passage.
