I have a JD 2020 grove tractor and am trying to find out any info you guys out there might have on it. One poster a while back said he thought only a couple dozen grove 2020's were made. Does anybody know actual amount? Id tag on frame about 1 foot in front of dipstick reads:type 5G3C or T5G3C and serial 103086 or 1030861. It is diesel and has all the body armor. Any info would be appreciated.

I do not have the info with me at the moment but I researched this tractor a while back for a client. It seems to me there were 22 grove gasoline 2020"s and maybe 100+/- diesels. They are more rare than a person might think. Green Magazine did a spread on them several years ago with a lot of info.

Would be in the numbers with regular 2020 and both those are probably 1970 year models. You have too many digits in your last number. 2020 for 1970 began at 102032 and for 1971 began at 117500. No idea no how many but yes less just like other earlier orchard models.
