This Glockenspeil is the same as a Xylophone so I guess that means that 4020 is playing a tune of the Blues ?

Brass or copper particles are an indication of a bearing or bushing going bad..Drop the pan and look around for a rod or main journal discolored blue or yellowish blue..If so there's your culprit..I'm not familiar with the 4020 series..Does that engine run a balancer assembly that runs off the crankshaft gear... The 3010 [ JD 500 backhoe ] ran such a balancer..There's quite a lot of rotating junk in that balancer..

No balancer in the 4000 series tractors. Only the 3010 and 3020.

Yup. Don't run it anymore that you just have to.Sounds like a major overhaul is in your future.Be sure to check the rocker arms for wear too. They are the first to run dry on oil.
