SCAM SCAM, The 5010 Was legitmately sold for the $79,100, It will be with the first 3010,4010 and 8010,The relister on EBAY shud be hung at sun down, it would only take one with this treatment and this bull manure would come to a screaching halt.

At least that price is what it actually is worth in the real world.

Take any 5010 in that condition without a 3pt. and try to sell it in the "Real World Market" to "Normal" people and you will be lucky to get $2500 for it. If that tractor did even bring $79,000 the first time ? The guy that sold it was one lucky dude. That's better than the lotto. What are the odds of stumbling upon the 1st. tractor yet alone getting that kinda price for it ?

I think it's neat when something a bit unusual surfaces, and the big money fights over it.

Good for the seller, and it's lucky for the buyer to be in a position to toss money around like that!

And it's funny to watch the bystanders whine about it, and claim "it's not worth that"!

Yeah it was exciting to watch it sell but any later ones without more options just don't bring that out there. You still don't see later 5010 industrials bringing much either. One reason probably why is what will it cost to restore one? $1000? I doubt it lol. More like $5000 to over $25K to be done right. If engine is bad in that first 5010 I can see them easily spending $30K to get it perfectly restored if not more on top of what they already paid for it. Finding NOS 24.5-32 Goodyear original tires with straight bar lugs may not be a option for them unless they find some holed away someplace?

the scam is not the tractor but identity theft. Yes ebay should monitor for duplicate/replacement adds. Personally I think they should require some sort of bond be posted by members.

He didnt steal the mans identity. He has stolen the auction listing and is trying to sell something that isnt his. What would that get you in the real world ? I reported it to Fleabay and sent the guy in Louisiana a "nice" message. Does anyone down there want the guys address so you can pay him a visit ?????

when you log in on that auction....you'll see what I mean...he'll have your kitchen sink if you not lucky. As to the tractor, why didn't they just sell the tag and put it on a good tractor...by the time they replace all the parts it want even be the same tractor anyway....
