will a JD 70 block work in a Jd 60 without making any modifications. thanks you

There is no way to put a 70 block in a 60 without major surgery. If you're wanting more cubes look for a 6-3 power block (aftermarket block made by Tractor supply Co). It will give you a 6" bore, but most will need to be bored and oversize (up to .125") pistons installed. They're sometimes hard to find, and can be pricy ($500-$1000). If you're just wanting to use stuff that you already have you're S.O.L. Mike

I don't think it will. I believe the 70 block is larger and the frame on the 70 is wider to accomodate the block. You might have problems with the 60 frame fitting around the 70 block for this reason. If you look at the G, 70, 720, and 730 tractors, they all have the larger frame to accomodate this block.
