1936 D carburator

I removed my carburator to begin painting. The model of the carburator is DLTX 13. Is this a correct carburator for a 1936 Model D?

Maybe unfortunately but the side location that you described is exactly where the numbers are located.
It does read DLTX13. Could this be an acceptable variant of the model 16? Serial number is 129229.
Any other thoughts? Regards,

Ken,
My guess would be that it is either a DLTX63 or a DLTX16 as to my knowledge there never was a DLTX13. So, one of the numbers was poorly stamped (nothing new there!) and the 6 may be a 1 or the 3 may be a 6. If you can't make it out, it may be possible to identify it by the choke, economizer plug and nozzle (but any could have been changed so that may not work either).

Ken,
D s/n 109944-128110 used a DLTX6, then from 128111-161644 used a DLTX16, and 161645-end used the DLTX63. The 16 is a cast iron version of the brass 6. Bowls have a casting number DLT13 if that is what you are looking at. The carb number is on the load needle side at the choke end. The letters DLTX are cast in, followed by a number stamped in for your carb series.
