hello fellow deere admirers. has anyone taken a 404 w/turbo and converted it to a non-turbo?
if so what needs to be done besides changing the manifolds? also, what tricks will you share for "freeing up" a stuck 404? thanks

The only problem I would see is 404T's have a lower compression ratio- so it would start hard-BUT then what 404 doesn't??

If you have a Factory Turbo set up engine why would you ever not want to use it ?? It should help fuel economy.

What was the 404 out of? Maybe interested in the turbo set up, and manifolds.

If you don't need the HP I see no reason one couldn't remove turbo. I would rather run a turbo engine without one than a non-turboed one with an added turbo. If your going to run inj. pump that came with turbo it might need turning down. Tx Jim
