Does anyone out there know where parts can be had for the old drills? I have a model "FF" which needs some flexible tubine and a few odds and ends.

Salvage yards near you. adeptr.com (parts then state) or try Burrels in Oklahoma. The FF was never common in this area so may not be in OK either?

Thanks. I got this drill from my uncle in Nebraska. I am in NC. It has been fun to take apart and find out how it works. It's more for looks than use as I will take it to the fair and shows. When I figure out how to transfer photos I will get some on the forum. My winter project is to complete my 41 H which is in pieces and am converting to electric start

Most dealers and ag parts places are only going to have the rubber seed spouts and those would never work well for us using drills on listed rows and wind and rats mess with them too. Something else you can do if can't find original type ribbon wound metal seed tubes is to get some for other JD drills that are longer and cut them off to length. I've got a 41 H to finish up too and it has ES & lights on it with a shop made 3 point on back.

Lots of pieces need to convert an H to electric start. I'm not sure it's worth it as then you always have a dead battery and they seem to start harder than when hand start.

I'm probably in deeper already than I want to be but I already have most of the major componants, like shaft for generator pully, flywheel, starter, generator, brackets, but I promised my wife an electric start since this is going to be her baby.....
