My dad has a John Deere walking plow. It has wooden handles that curve at the end so you can hold onto it. It has a metal, or iron, (I forget which he said) v-shaped blade that is 12" across and 12" deep. The metal on the plow is green with yellow. The number 882 is painted on a handle and on the metal. We are trying to find some information on it. Can anyone help?

According to my 1930 pocket ledger, it is a John Deere Middlebreaker plow. Does the same as a drawn lister, only on row at a time.

Thanks for the info Mark. Do you know of a website where we can find this info, and/or where did you obtain your ledger?
Kathy

I buy pocket ledgers on EBAY. Just type in John Deere Pocket Ledger and hit search. There are several ledgers listed for various years now. That middlebreaker plow is shown thru the late 30's.
