Tires for a BR ??????

I have 11x26 tires on my BR and they are about ready to blow. I called Miller tire and was told that 13.2x26 is all they can get and when they gave me the price I started crying, it was over $800 for a set. Does anybody have another idea? What about some 24 inch rims? Will they fit on my cast centers? Are there any spoked wheels available with different sized tires? Thanks

Try Harlan Wilson, also there is a place called nebraskatire.com that has them discounted. We get all of our tires from the local farm bureau. Dad just put a set on one of his tractors for less then that. I think somewhere around $650 out the door but dont quote me on that. We got hooked up with a local guy who restores tractors and between the two of us we usually but about 15 sets a year so that gets us a little better price. As far as the size goes it depends on the year as to what size is correct. I would have to look it up but as a general rule electric starts ones came with 26 and hand start 24. You could get a set of round spoke Allis wheels for probably around $300-500 hundred dollars or a set of round spokes from detwilers for closer to $2000 but then where are you saving on buying a cheaper tire. As far as the centers go. There are different centers, unless your wheels have been modified cant switch sizes. Hope this helps

I just replaced the tires on my 420U with 26" wheels. I got Firestone 14.9x26 for $350 each plus tubes, plus mounting, plus loading with fruit juice for $1010. I was thrilled at the price. Until a couple of years ago, all I could get was 13.6x26 for $500 each, plus, plus, plus. I got them from my local Firestone truck/tractor dealer. They were very good to work with. I have 11" rims and the tires look good. The only sizes available from any manufacturer are the 13.6 and the 14.9. Millers price on the 13.6 has been about $500 each up until now. maybe he has come down. His web site shows them to be $475 plus shipping which he quoted me at $160 for two. Try you local Firestone dealer. No shipping, at least mine had them in stock.

I have a set I would sell. They have no breaks in them, and the tread is better than 60%. That is the good news. The bad news is they have small cracks all around the tread area. None of the cracks are over 1/4" deep.

They would make good useable tires, but may not be what you would want for a show tractor. I would like $200.00 for the pair.

I am in central Indiana.

I forgot to mention, the tires are 13.6 X 26 4 ply.

I do not have the equipment to send pictures. I left my E-mail open.

If you are not set on brand new tires, try looking for a used set off of a salvage combine. I needed 26 inch tires for one of my AR's and found a pretty decent set with just a couple small cracks for $125 with the tubes. I knew that 26 inches were expensive but that seems high.
