Trying to remove a Bosch KDL injector from a 4320 row crop. Shop manual says use special tool JDE-69 or JDE-69A to remove gland nut. Any ideas where to get one of these special tools or a suitable alternative? The counterman at the deere dealer sent me to the shop foreman who told me they don't lend tools and they are NLA, any ideas.

OK, I called the dealer back. If you look up JDE69 (not JDE-69)they can order for $35.55 plus shipping and 2-3 week wait. Thanks for the input. John

Yep try another another dealer. Dealer here keeps those wrenches in stock hanging on tool racks. They know if they don't we'll go someplace else. Dealer has a special site they can go to for ordering tools. I've seen them do it to get me a pump nut wrench before.

Sounds like that dealer is trying to trick you into paying them to do it for you. I can't believe that tool isn't avalible, a bunch of 4430's and 4630's also had those injectors. And that tool does wear out/gets damaged. Those injectors can really fight. Either the gland nut will be seized into the head or the nut will be seized to the injector. Might require a little heat/tapping the nut with hammer and punch. Last 4320 I had the injectors out of, all came right out except #3, which was hopelessly stuck. I had to remove the oil cooler to make room to work. Make sure to put a light coat of never-seeze between the injector and the gland nut, and also on the gland nut threads. Also make sure the o-ring that goes against the top of the gland nut is in place.
