I have 1946 GM John Deere 90 thousandths over with M&W high compression pistons. Jerry's Ablanp flat head with the big valves ported and polished. Also have aluminum roller rockers. A 720/730 power grind on the cam, magneders, hot mag. I was wondering how much power this should have? What is the best carborator setup? It has DTLX 13 on it now. What would be the best to stoke it to?

I have one set almost the same. Couldn't get enough spark out of the mag. had to go to Batt ign, with a performance coil. Do you have a gas manifold on it?. Very important, if you don't
get one. I am running around 60 on AV gas. I am going to run on alcohol next year.

If you want to stroke it then i would go to 91/4 inches. You have to cut out the back of the crankcase but its worth the trouble. You get around 100 horsepower. You have the head you need the carb and the rods pistons and crank.

Are you looking in the right spot for the carb. model #? It's located on the choke end of the carb
opposite side of the lever on a little flat spot.
Some bowls have that number on the bottom of them
which could be the same on alot of them. The dltx 51 is the correct one,2nd choice 71 from a gas A.
