wondering if anyone knows any tips on the best type of tires to use for pulling and if you think that putting 38 inch tires and widening them to 20 inches would be a good idea.

Seen guys with the 18.4 x 38"s do quite well on their 820"s in the 8000 & 9000 lb. classes. Need some extra ponies in er to pull very well in 10,000 and above.

Stepped rims and 18.4x38's will outpull 18.4x34's and walk all over 23.1x26 on all but the softest of tracks. The tall tires may stall her out on a clay power track if equiped with the fast 1st gear and pulling 10,000lbs or more.
