I have been looking at a JD 3-bottom moldboard 2-way (rollover) plow. In one of my books there is a picture of an 825 plow which looks very similar to this one. The only difference that I can see is that on the one that I am looking at has a straight tube frame which the moldboards are connected to vs. the bent steel frame of the 825. The number on the frogs (shanks?)of the one I am looking at are A13799A. Does anyone have an Idea of what model plow this may be and during which years it was produced? I plan on hooking it to my 730 LP, what do you all think? Thanks for your input! ADAM

The plow you are looking at is a model RO516. It was made from 1968 to 1976 and is a very heavy plow intended to be used with the new generation tractors. It may be a tad heavy for your intended usage as the front end my get a bit light.

I have a 3 bottom roll over which has the bent frame, and according to my neighbor who worked for Deere at the time these plows were made, they were built for the 730.

I plowed 100s acres with a 4-14 555ABH, I still have it. I used a 720 Diesel or a 70 Diesel.
