I have a 4020; good tractor, and am considering another. Someone said the 4320 was the next version and should be considered. Don't see as many around. Can you help with this alternative, and what I should consider. Was this an overall solid machine like the 4020? Thanks!!

Very solid tractor!! HP range is 130-185 HP, but gets hard on clutches over 150 HP. I have a 1971, and grew up on a 1972. Only come with a diesel and synchro transmission.

My dad has a 43 only bad thing about the old girl is if you don't pull it hard it is hard on the turbo because it doesn't have a waste gate. But other than that it is a good hard working old tractor. It pull it's guts out. I think you should go bigger and get a 4620 that is a tough tractor.

The 4320 was not a later model of 4020, but the next size larger than the 4020. 4320s were made in 1971&1972. They were sold as a super 4020 in advertizing. The 43 is basicly a 4020 with a factory turbo and beefed up alittle. No power shift was available on the 43. Very good tractor. The only possible weak spot might be the clutch, but if you know how to treat them sensibly it is no problem.

We have Two 4320s. The weak spot is the rear end. if you have to replace the carrier go with a 3 pinion one from a 50 series. no more problems. other than tha a very solid tractor.
