I have a JD 2950 with the 359 in it and sure would love a little more HP. I have noticed that a 3150 has the same motor but is rated at 95 HP.

Is the only difference the injection pump? Do the two tractors have the same clutch and transmission?

Just wondering if I can send the injections pump out for a rebuild, thanks for any help.

Not sure, the 3150 may have a turbo. However I know for a fact these engines will respond to more fuel even without a turbo. The weakest link in my tractor was the HiLo, but that was redisigned for the 50 series

As I recall, the reason for holding the power down on the 2950 was concern for final drives. The 3150 is MFWD only, if I'm remembering right, thus it shares the load with both front and rear final drives, thus taking some of the load off the rear final drives.

My 2950 is also MFWD but I use it rarely, just seems to me that the motor has more ability than it is being allowed to deliver.
