I need to temporarily remove the pto shaft from my M. I need to remove some weight so I can pull in the 2500 lb class. I've already removed the belt pulley, can I just take out the bolts from the rear housing and pull the pto shaft out? Will it go back in easily when I want to put it back?

I think your are missing 1 or 10 steps, like splitting the tractor and removing the nut and bearing and gears,, I think I would get a manuel before I did that ,It might save you so money. Happy pullin
