I have a 1941 unstyled AR. When when you try to turn the wheels to the left it is real hard to turn. You can turn to the right without a lot of trouble. Going down the road it drives fine just stiffer on left turns. Anyone have any ideals where I should look for the problem or how to fix the problem? Thanks Johnny.

I would get the front end jacked up some so you can turn it back and forth that way and help see where it is binding at. Could just be wear in gear box or could also be lower steering shaft and bushing in case that is worn or combination of several things being worn. In extreme wear cases the bottom under gear can be worn in gear box and you will have to shim the gear up to align better with the worm gear inside and possibly build up the lower shaft some for better fit in a new bushing. Check king pins for wear and binding also while it is jacked up. You can make new king pins from shafting and put bushings in axle if necessary.
