I am looking at a Denso model 128000-8293 (JD #: RE59595) and I was wondering if it would fit my styled G. It does have the 3 hole design.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am running a starter on my 623 cu.in. G that was on an early model Ford Power Stroke. I was told by my local starter rebuilder that it is a NIKKO starter built for Delco. It is a reduction gear starter. All I had to do was get a starter drive to fit the G flywheel, and it worked perfect. I have found out since that you can buy this starter with the correct drive on it. The part # is 1113278. Hope this helps.

AgChem, I run a JD ND Japan starter on my stroker A. I think that starter was on 4440's (6 cyl.) or some where in there. It bolts right-up to the top-mount starter bracket for an A. The same starter will fit a G. You will have to fab. your own switch set up. A starter off a JD 6 cylinder diesel in the last couple years will bolt right up also. A friend runs these on his late G pullers. It is funny how that pattern has NOT changed in some 60 years. I believe the starter drive teeth pattern is all the same also. Give it a whirl.
