I have a JD 2510 and I am wanting to get the lift arms under the seat working. I am told that they work off of a cable and spindle/
spool system. Thought I could fabricate a three point system if I get them fixed. Any ideas? Anyone done one of these recently?

It would be very unusual for a 2510 NOT to have a three point allready on it ????? The rockshaft is controlled by a lever up on the LH side of the dash,a cable runs from here down under the platform and over to the RH rear side of the rockshaft housing. If you take off the sheetmetal cover under your seat you should see the other end of it. The cables are available new from JD.

That's what I was looking for. Cables. I was told the cable was broken. It really isn't a three point hitch. Replacing this cable a tough job? Thanks for the reply.

It should not be too bad ? I think you need to remove the cowl piece from around the dash a few bolts and it lifts off. You may have an opening at the light/key switch area you can remove a bolt from and open it up.Remove the platform and the side cover from around the seat base. This is all easy if the bolts don't twist off. LOL
