Does anyone know where I can buy a load adjuster for the carb on a JD M?

Al Ep,

ANother thought would be to go to a salvage yard and buy a whole TSX-235 carb, the model that came with the M Series tractor. If you ever needed any more spare parts or anything else from the carb, you would have it. Just make sure that if you pursue this route, that the load-adjusting needle, valve/etc are all in good shape...good luck, tstex

These are available from Roberts Carburetor in Spencer , Iowa. Phone 712-262-5311. They have two stlyes avaiable. The original style & the other has a T handle adjuster. Your choice if you wish to keep it that original. The price of the original style is higher priced.

I ordered one for my 40 last year from Mother Deere. Robert's Carb Repair might have them also.
