Maybe a dumb question, but typically how far back on these forums do you people look? My usual is probably two pages unless there is a particular post that I've responded to and want to see if anyone disagrees or otherwise responded. But if I've been away for a trip of a few days then I'll look back farther.

I find myself going back 4-5 years looking up archived replies from Roy Suomi. He is a wealth of knowledge on the JD backhoes and the old archives have helped a bunch as I troubleshoot the hydraulics on my 310A backhoe.

Just the front page. Lifes too short on dial up.
Somebody wants me or wants a piece of me, they know where to find me.

A few pages or if away a couple days like others said. If you are away for a while and respond back to someone on a thread you can always start a new one and title it as a update or continued to your previous post so someone that didn't enable email notification can see it if you want them to. Several including me may go back to find a post to see if the solution to a problem was ever posted also or what others ideas were. That is how we learn what fixed it.

Ditto on a couple of days. And that is why I really appreciate those folks who reply back and let us know what happened. I wish more folks would do that. I agree we all learn here!

Two or three pages -- or two or three days is about my limit too. Now if there is a thread I am working with a fellow on -- I will seek it out, but that doesn't happen much. Things move along pretty fast on this forum. (PatB)
