I saw this at a local tractor show tonight. I don't know how the owner crammed that 8-71 Detroit in there but it sure looked nice!

Years ago Kinze made around 300 Detroit conversion JD's.They are very desirable today.

M&W didnt make them.

That is a sweet looking (and sounding) rig. Kinzebauw (sp?) has been doing this for years, putting 350 and 400 Cummins's and Detroits into 5010's, 5020's and 6030's. Their trannies and a$$ ends are strong enough to stand up to these big Diesels.

M&W had did nothing as far as a kit goes to do this. Kinze conversion more then likely- he liked to use the 8v71 in his- also some 4020's, 45 and 4620 roaming around like this.

i think m & w among others made a kit to put 8-71 or cat v-8 in 5020 i remenber seeing 903 cummins in 4520 with powershift duals were about smooth
