I am looking at a 1925 Spoker D with PTO. Can anyone describe the external design/configuration of the PTO and shield. Pictures and/or drawings would be an added help. Thanks

The AD307R Power Shaft was used on early D 31280-46904. Note the different gear box and shaft runs through special support for steering and PTO shaft. The shields are about impossible to find anymore.

The AD350R Power Shaft was used on early D 46905-109943. Gear box and support are different and shield also about impossible to find. D instruction manuals told how to install these in the field and service tips.

As usual, you have been extremely helpful. Last question, if the 1925 Spoker has the later pto setup, would it affect the final collector value at all, in your opinion. Everything else is original.

If it has the later PTO on it some collectors might try to bash price for that but remember very few back then had PTO set up so it's still not common to see them. PTOs could be added on any of the Ds later in the field by the owner or dealer. I would rather restore it original as found but that isn't always to somes liking. We had a 27 corn borer D that was real worn out and someone has welded a old truck steering box setup on it and the PTO was worn out and other things not original so sold it to someone that would have more time to restore it right. The corn borer 27 Ds probably all had PTO setup for a stalk chopper but some may have been only used for plowing in that project and not had PTO. All corn borer 27 Ds had the later AD350R PTO setup and it's hard to find one that isn't worn out or has the original shield on it still but there are some around yet to copy from to make one. If you didn't want the PTO on the 25 I'm sure you could find the quill cover and sell PTO to someone with a worn out corn borer D that might need it.

It's just a gear box that drives off LH side of trans case.
